About Bear Country Runner

I moved to bear country a little over a year ago. I have never lived anywhere near wilderness (unless you count swamps as wilderness) and the only wild animals I’ve ever encountered are alligators.

I’m a runner. I’m marathoner, specifically. I’m also a cyclist, dancer, dog mommy, connoisseur of fried chicken, and a human being. Every day I’m trying to become more like a real human being and not a domestic human pet. (I try not to get political but my thoughts about what we’ve done to ourselves by “civilizing” cannot be contained. Yeah, more about that later.)

This blog mostly serves as a journal to keep myself on track as I prepare and train for the Two Bear Marathon in Whitefish, Montana. I suppose after that I’ll pick another event to challenge myself, and then maybe I’ll blog about that.

  1. I completely forgot to start communications to meet up pre-race on Saturday — my mistake 😦

    How’d it go for you?
